Follicea Technologies is a Kyoto- and Osaka-based biotech startup
developing next-generation therapeutics for infertility.
Through innovative, targeted treatments, we aim to bring hope
to all those struggling to conceive.
Our technology extends beyond infertility — with potential applications
in animal conservation and broader life science challenges.
About
Our mission is to deliver effective treatment options to all those struggling with infertility. From our base in Osaka and Kyoto, we are advancing innovative drug development with a global vision.
Follicea Technologies brings together an interdisciplinary team with expertise in drug discovery science, synthetic chemistry, and stem cell biology. Based in Osaka and Kyoto — where life science and regenerative medicine research converge — we are developing targeted therapeutics that address not just the symptoms of infertility, but the fundamental causes underlying the birth of new life.
Our vision is to transform the future of fertility care by rapidly translating scientific discoveries into clinical applications. At the forefront of R&D, we create innovative therapies that meet real patient needs and deliver hope to those struggling worldwide.
Technology
Our integrated drug discovery platform closes the loop between computation and experiment — virtual screening, automated synthesis, robotic assays, and organoid validation working together to identify clinical candidates at unprecedented speed.
Molecular docking and virtual HTS evaluate hundreds of millions of compounds — with AI predicting binding affinity and ADMET properties before any synthesis begins.
A single researcher can synthesize up to 3,000 compound variants per month on our automated platform, feeding directly into 24/7 robotic assays — generating tens of thousands of data points daily.
Patient- and animal-derived 3D tissue models validate drug candidates — bridging the gap between in vitro hits and in vivo outcomes.
